FAQ
Everything You Need to Know
Have questions about our snow removal services? Explore our FAQ page for all the answers you need to keep your property clear and safe this winter!
Is it okay to leave my car in the driveway?
Yes, but we request that you park as close to your house as possible. This helps maximize the area our tractors can clear. We always leave a gap between the tractor and your vehicle to prevent damage. For more information, refer to our snow blowing guide.
If touch-up is required where your vehicle was parked, please reach out to us right after dispatch to get added to our touch-up route.
When does the snow season start and finish?
Our snow removal services run from November 1st to April 15th.
Will you apply ice melt or salt to my driveway?
We do not offer this service at this time.
Can you service gravel driveways?
Yes, but we will need to skip your driveway until a snow base develops. Packing down the snow is the responsibility of the homeowner.
What areas do you service?
We currently service Transcona, River East, East St. Paul, Steinbach, and Blumenort. Please refer to our service map for more details.
Will your tractor and blower be safe for our driveway?
Yes, our tractors are safe for all driveway types, including sealed concrete, asphalt, interlocking pavers, and stamped concrete. We use exclusive Viper Blade Technology, which delivers a superior scrape while protecting your driveway from damage.
When are snow stakes installed and removed?
We install snow stakes in late October and early November. They will be removed by early April as the ground softens. If you remove them earlier, please place them near your garage for collection during our rounds.
What size driveway do I have?
Our driveway sizes are based on how many cars comfortably fit in your driveway. If your drive doesn’t match any of the listed options on the form, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you a custom quote.
Will you shovel our walkway and front steps?
CONTACT USWalkway shoveling is not included by default. If you’d like this service, please select it on your estimate form or add it to your cart or contact us. Walkway crews operate separately from the tractor operators.
How can damage to driveways be avoided during snow blowing service?
To avoid potential damage:
- Mark any obstacles on your driveway before the first snow event.
- Lower any raised paving stones so they are flush.
- Ensure grates or water shut-off valves are level with the driveway
What is your policy if something gets damaged?
If we cause damage, it will be logged and reported immediately. We will repair any damage in the spring. Please report the damage to our office with all necessary details. Items left on the driveway (e.g., downspouts, basketball nets, lights) are not covered.
Are your snow tractors loud?
No, our equipment is 90% quieter than conventional walk-behind snow blowers. Since our visits typically last under two minutes, you might not even notice we’re there!
How close do you get to my house, garage doors, or parked car?
Our operators are trained to safely clear within 6”-12” of driveway markers and 12”-16” of parked cars, garage doors, and buildings, including any overhangs. This ensures your property is serviced thoroughly while avoiding any potential damage.
How will I know if you’re providing service during an upcoming storm?
When a significant storm is approaching, we’ll notify you by email with our service plan, including the scheduled dispatch time and whether our alert system will be activated. We’ll also provide updates throughout the storm to keep you informed.
